The Sale Item Editor
 Sale Item Editor
The Sale Item Editor is where you input product information which show in the online store and when that particular item or product is added to the online shopping cart.
Fields in the Sale Item Editor:
- Product Code (required)
- This will have been allocated (either automatically or manually) when you first created the item. This code will be displayed in the shopping cart when the item is added.
- Edit Product Model
- This opens the product model editor in a new window.
- Enabled?
- In order for a sale item to be sold in your store, it must be enabled. Disabling a sale item allows you to make it unavailable for sale without deleting it from your store altogether.
- Title (required)
- This field must be completed. The title given in this field will be displayed in the shopping cart when an item is added. The text you input here will usually be the main product name/description.
- Price
- The price you put in here is the base product price. This is the main unit price before other possible permutations and add-ons.
- Members Price
- Logged in website members can optionally be offered a different price to normal users. Use this field to set a different price for registered users of your website.
- Image (optional)
- The addition of an image here is optional. It is not generally necessary to upload an image at this stage. Depending on how you are using your dotAdmin store, you may wish to use this field to display thumbnails for individual sale items on a product page.
- Description
- This field is optional. It is not generally necessary to add a description at this stage. Depending on how you are using your dotAdmin store, you may wish to use this field to display descriptions for individual sale items on a product page.
- Tax Application
- Allows you to edit the taxes applied to this product. More information on tax application settings here.
- Shipping Details
- Shipping models are set up in the Shipping Zones Editor. Your store can be configured to calculate shipping costs using a number of different methods. The shipping details fields allow you to edit product details which may affect shipping costs. More information on shipping details fields here.
- Default Stock Items
- Stock items required to fulfil an order of this sale item. More information on Stock Items here
