Orders With Status

This section has a number of checkboxes. You can check any number of these to choose what type of orders you wish to view. Each of these order states also has a correlating symbol which will show to the left of each item in the order list. Listed below are the definitions of each of the order states;

Paid & Shipped
This indicates that all aspects of the order have been fulfilled. The item(s) have been paid for and the goods have been shipped.
Paid
This means the order has been paid for in one of 2 ways. Either:
  • The customer has paid using a Payment Service Provider (PSP) such as Paypal, Protx, Worldpay etc and the amount has been debited from their account
  • The order has been marked as paid, having been paid for offline
Awaiting Offline Payment
This shows that the user has expressed a preference to issue their payment by cheque, or by the invoice payment method. No payment has been debited and will need to be arranged outside of the dotAdmin system. Once payment has been received, you should ensure you bring your order records up to date by marking the order as paid.
Payment Authorised
This status indicates that the payment has been through the relevant authorisation stages but the funds have not yet been debited. This 'Pre-Authorised' state means that the PSP has verified and validated the payee's details and credit card and has confirmed that the payee has the funds available to cover the order amount, but that the payment has not yet been actioned.

When an order of this status is changed from 'Pre-Authorised' to 'Paid', dotAdmin will (where possible) contact the PSP directly and debit the payment.
Customer Cancelled
The user cancelled the order before completing payment.
Awaiting Payment
This order status indicates that the user accessed a PSP to make a payment but notification was never received by dotAdmin to show that the payment had been made. This could be due to the following reasons:
  • The transaction was abandoned at the PSP payment stage by the user closing their browser window.
  • The user made a payment but notification was not received from the PSP. This could be as a result of a network problem or another technical issue.
  • The user's machine crashed during the checkout procedure.

When you have selected the orders and order type you wish to view, click on the 'Show' button.
